  1. Programs that engage students at earlier ages have a better opportunity to create changes in student behavior that will lead them from a path of long term underemployment/unemployment and being an economic burden to society, to the path of becoming an economic and societal asset.
  1. Incentives, rewards, and recognition are an effective means to encourage positive behavior.
  1. The mentors and role models that a student is exposed to (negative and positive) have a strong influence on the life choices they make.
